A Love for the Area:
I grew up in Northern California with a love of family and sports. In 2008, I moved to a small town in Northeast Iowa to attend Upper Iowa University on a volleyball scholarship. I absolutely love the Midwest and I look forward to calling Ankeny IA my home for many years to come.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from Upper Iowa University, I went on to earn a Doctorate degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2014, where I graduated magna cum laude.
Chiropractic Education:
While attending Palmer College, I advanced my adjusting techniques and chiropractic skills by joining the Troxell Intern Program. This is an extensive program that specializes in assimilating the knowledge and skills necessary to become the absolute best chiropractor within the Gonstead system. Through this program I have attended and completed over 100 hours of Gonstead-specific seminars learning an array of valuable information for extremities, gait evaluation and specific spinal adjusting. Outside of the adjusting experience gained at Palmer clinics, I went on a Clinic Abroad trip to Manaus, Brazil where we helped bring spinal healthcare to an underprivileged community.
Active Lifestyle:
In my spare time I love spending time with my husband Nate and our two kids, Baylor and Brewer. I enjoy working out in the gym and anything related to volleyball.
Family Focused Care:
I have a passion for infants, children of all ages, female health and the spinal health of young athletes. My goal is to improve the quality of life for every patient and help maintain an active, healthy lifestyle, full of the things you enjoy. I strive to help people get well through chiropractic care.
Family Wellness Chiropractic hopes our dedication for helping you and your family is evident. We know that your health is important to pursue your passions in life. I look forward to meeting you and your family to discuss how specific chiropractic care can help you live your healthiest life.
Dr. Miranda Good graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Exercise and Health in 2014. While earning her degree she fell in love with helping people reach their health goals, but then realized she wanted to help people from more than just through an exercise perspective. She then interned with her chiropractor in Indiana and saw the power of chiropractic care.
Over time she learned that people had physical, emotional, and mental limitations that prevented them from reaching their optimal health potential. She wanted the ability to help people surpass those limitations; She loved the chiropractic philosophy of healing the body from the inside out. Health comes from WITHIN and is controlled ultimately by our nervous system and how we take care of it.
Dr. Miranda graduated from the fountainhead of Chiropractic in 2018. While in school she invested herself in a variety of chiropractic techniques, but gravitated towards the Gonstead System of chiropractic. She became a Troxell Intern, which cultivated her and led her to complete over 100 seminar hours of Gonstead specific material. The Troxell Intern program is dedicated to helping students learn and practice the Gonstead System, while creating a strong network of like-minded chiropractors around the world. While in school she also invested herself as a technique teaching assistant and a radiology intern.
Dr. Miranda has completed coursework geared towards women’s health and wellness; she is certified in the Webster Technique, which helps mother and baby throughout the pregnancy period. She has studied pre/postnatal exercise, and is currently working on an extensive women’s coaching certification aimed at all stages of life.
Outside of the office Dr. Miranda enjoys strength training at the gym - she has been a competitive powerlifter since 2018 and judges competitions throughout the country. Body work is a passion of hers- she is a certified body tempering and dry needling practitioner. Her golden doodles Winston and Norbert keep her busy as well-- they can be seen at the office from time to time.
I was born and raised in Iowa. I have 11 children (9 boys and 2 girls): 5 with my late husband, 5 bonus children I gained through my re-marriage and 1 sweet “bookend” with share together. We are also blessed with 5 daughters-in-law and 6 grandchildren.
I have a BS in Industrial Technology – Occupational Safety Option with an emphasis in Human Relations. I utilized this degree for 2 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom and part-time employee. I have background working at the DNR, Manufacturing facilities and in a Chiropractic office. I have been employed at FWC for 7 years (since it’s opening) and previously worked with Dr. Danielle at another Chiropractic office.
The Gonstead method of Chiropractic is something I am very passionate about. This approach utilizes X-rays and a thorough Health Exam, in conjunction with determining pinpointed problem areas each visit, and then creating a plan on fixing the specific problem rather than blindly adjusting an entire spine. I love my position as Office Manager and Receptionist because creating lasting relationships with patients and caring for both their joys and concerns is something extremely important to me.
In the very little free time I have I enjoy reading and watching a TON of baseball as my boys are all baseball players!
I was born and raised in Iowa. My late husband and I were married in 1996 and settled on an acreage in Cambridge. God has blessed us with 4 beautiful daughters and 2 sons in law.
Some things I enjoy and look forward to are church, spending time with family and friends, music/concerts, volleyball, jigsaw puzzles and games, and being out in the sunshine. After being a patient, I was hired in 2021 and have loved working here. I am also a homemaker, receptionist at a 55+ Community, seasonally work at an orchard and am a health coach.
I'm a Minnesota girl who moved to Iowa for my husband's job back in 2013. Our two boys have thrived in Iowa, but Minnesota will always have my heart. My husband and I have been married for 25 years!
I have been a chiropractic patient since college but I really felt I found my home with chiropractic when I discovered the Gonstead technique. Our whole family benefits from chiropractic care and I'm so happy we found Family Wellness Chiropractic.
I have a background in Montessori education as well as Birth Doula work and have been a sub in Ankeny for the past several years. I also worked at Starbucks for five years and it is in my top 5 of favorite jobs! Being at Family Wellness Chiropractic gives me the opportunity to create relationships with patients which is something I thrive on.
Free time includes lots of time with friends and family in Minnesota and Wisconsin. I love reformer Pilates, walking my three dogs, live music, traveling, watching movies and reading.
I have spent most of my life in the greater Des Moines area. My husband, our four boys, our dog Molly, and I moved to Ankeny ten years ago, and we have enjoyed living here. Three of the boys are now married and still live in the area. The youngest is attending Bible college here in Ankeny. We have been blessed with two grand babies.
Working in a chiropractic office for several years has given me a new appreciation and understanding for how God designed our bodies, with the health of the spine as an important part of our overall health. Along with this, I have also enjoyed learning more about the holistic side of health care.
Things I enjoy include being involved at church, reading, spending time with family, playing with the grand babies, and meeting friends to enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee.
